The Mexico City The Aerospace Fair 2017 (FAMEX) was held from 26 to 29 April at the Santa Lucia Air Force Base in Estado de Mexico. FAMEX had more than 3,500 business meetings, participation of 15 countries and more than 205 companies in the Aeronautics sector.
For that matter, the Canadian Embassy in Mexico organized the event “Canadian Mission to Mexico’s Aerospace Fair” (FAMEX), which brought together all the Canadian entrepreneurs from such sector. The Canadian Embassy invited EC LEGAL lawyers to develop and present the “Doing Business in Mexico” Conference.
The attorneys who participated in the event were Mr. Javier Ogarrio, who presented an explanation of the matters to be considered when starting business in Mexico from the corporate point of view; Mr. Felipe Mendoza informed accurately about each one of the tax and foreign trade implications, including the existing benefits for foreign companies in Mexico; Mr. Renato Martínez shared information about the real estate practice and the advantages and disadvantages of the different figures for the physical installation of foreign companies and finally Mrs. Cecilia Valdes exposed the most important aspects of industrial property, particularly the benefits and processes to obtain trademarks and patents.
The aerospace industry in Mexico has grown exponentially and every day has greater impact in all areas. In the legal area, it is not the exception because it is imperious that experts in the legal and aerospace subjects become allies with those companies when consolidating businesses in Mexico in that industry.
